Meet our Coaches!

Coach Chip 

Coach Chip is the owner and founder of Coach's Driving Academy, which has been in operation since 2005. Coach's Driving Academy has become one of the top driving schools in St. Tammany Parish and the surrounding areas.  Coach Chip has a teaching degree from the University of New Orleans, and a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin. In addition, Coach Chip has traveled extensively throughout the world and has attended schools in such places as Australia, New Zealand, and Spain. Coach Chip believes that small classroom settings plus hands-on training are key elements to excellent and safe driving skills.  

Coach Joe

Coach Joe joined the team at Coach's Driving Academy in September, 2017. Prior to becoming a classroom and driving instructor, Coach Joe spent 30 years at the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's office serving and protecting the residents of St. Tammany Parish. Coach Joe prides himself on teaching effective forms of defensive driving, and being able to teach both students and adult learners the rules  and responsibilities of the road. 

                                                                                                                                                                 

Coach Susan   

Coach Susan is a native of Slidell, graduating from Slidell High School and Southeastern University with a BA in Education. After 20 years of teaching at Bonne Ecole Elementary, Coach Susan retired.  Soon after retirement, Coach Susan longed to teach again, and joined the team at Coach’s Driving Academy. Coach Susan loves teaching both teens and adults to drive. Coach Susan uses her teaching skills of being patient and kind, an excellent communicator, and engaging with students during their drives.  Coach Susan takes pride in seeing student’s growth in becoming good, safe, and skilled drivers!
