38 Hour Teen Driving Course - $385
Driver Education for Students 14 years (& 9 months) through 17 years old
We have reopened for in-person classes and are now in Phase 3! As of today, in-person classes are limited to 18 students for each class, plus the instructor. We may need to change our policy to be in compliance with the Louisiana Governor proclamation and the guidance that we are provided by the Louisiana OMV.
We may have to add to or take away guidelines as we proceed through this uncharted water. Please be patient with us as we work through this together!
TIP CARD REQUIREMENT: Prior to attending the first day of any in-person Driver’s Education class, a Temporary Instruction Permit (TIP) must be obtained from the Office of Motor Vehicles. A TIP must be obtained before students attend Day 1 of the class. This rule applies to anyone in the State of Louisiana (regardless of age) that wishes to obtain a Drivers License, both Teens and Adults.
For a list of open DMV locations, wait times, and required documentation, please visit the Louisiana OMV website located here.
Note: $50 NON-REFUNDABLE deposit is required to hold spot in class. We are accepting only contactless payments at this time. No in-person payments will be accepted. Thanks!

This class is required by students ages 14 (& 9 months) through 17 for a learners permit in Louisiana. Our 38 Hour Driving Course is a two-phase program consisting of: (1) 30 hours of classroom instruction and (2) Behind-the-wheel instruction for 8 hours. These lessons are divided into four (4) two-hour lessons.
The course will build a solid foundation of knowledge and practice for students by teaching laws of the road with emphasis on the effects of alcohol, drugs, driving distractions, and much more.
Coach's Driving Academy provides FREE pick up and delivery of all our students within our driving area for the driving portion of behind the wheel training. We can pick up students from school or home. We schedule behind the wheel training 7 days a week and have morning, afternoon, and evening lessons available.
